  • Apparently I missed #NationalPuppyDay 🐶 A delayed shout out to all the furry friends I’ve fallen in love with around the world.
  • @repellebynaomimaaravi is a beautiful eco fashion boutique in Tel Aviv’s Jaffa neighborhood, with a selection of unique, upcycled fashion pieces in a neutral palette. I had a chance to speak with Ayelet, one of the two designers behind the brand Repelle and originally a native of Holland. She explained how the concept of “eco fashion” is still fairly new to Israel but is starting to gain some traction. Her creations are timeless, and she chooses to work with a minimalistic palette as it is timeless and universal. They are still working on educating consumers on the importance of buying less and buying better (even if that means shelling out a little more money up front) but with the help of ethical fashion bloggers and @fashionrevolutionisrael it’s starting to get some attention. 👏🏻 to these lovely ladies and this gem of a boutique, be sure to check them out!
  • Tasting my way through Carmel Market is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon in Tel Aviv. The fresh produce, the dozens of different kinds of olives, juicy medjool dates, hummus, halva, baklava, and so many more culinary delights that I don’t know the name of. Bring a a cloth grocery bag and an assortment of stainless steel containers, and make sure you don’t go home empty handed!
  • currently en route to... Tel Aviv! .
Do I have any TLV locals? Please spam me with all your tips!
  • Making some additions to the #Brooklyn Conscious City Guide after last week’s outing with @yungjetlag (like this dream of a thrift/plant shop we fell in love with).

One of the things I love about progressive cities, like NYC, is that they‘re constantly changing! I always have new shops and restaurants to check out, no matter how many times I’ve been there. If there are any sustainably-minded businesses you think should be included in one of the city guides on the blog, give me a holler! .
And if you want to contribute a conscious city guide for your own hometown I’d be okay with that too ;)
  • The female mind & body is capable of so much, and I am continually astounded by the sh*t that’s getting done and the progress that is being made by the women of this world. #HappyInternationalWomensDay to the ladies out there changing the status quo, to the brave souls who have stood up and said #metoo , to the mothers who put their family before themselves, to every lady showing the world what compassionate badassery looks like. This is the era of sisterhood, and it looks so good. .

  • AUJOURD’HUI DEMAIN | The duo behind this all-vegan concept shop describe their animal-friendly establishment as a place for information and inspiration. Earth-friendly fashion, home goods and so much more inside this beautiful, minimalist space. The very first boutique in Paris to include all fair-trade and locally sourced apparel, shoes, accessories, bath and beauty products as well as a little onsite vegan cafe. You will be both inspired and perhaps moved to action as well. .
